Stay in tune with what’s next for the Collective.

We are a small group of neighbors tuning up a lively, participatory music scene from September through May. While the town takes a breath between bustling summers, we fill the off-season with a variety of musical experiences designed to engage, uplift, and connect.

We bring people together through the universal language of music. One of our groups, the marching band, will participate in special summer events, extending the rhythm of the Collective beyond our regular season.

Got ideas? A dusty instrument? Jazz hands to spare? Come play with us. Like the trees that surround us, we’re growing in rings: rooted in connection, branching outward with energy and song. Whether you're harmonizing, toe-tapping, clapping along, or simply showing up to listen—there’s a spot for you in the Collective.

House Concerts

Think cozy living room, candlelight, maybe a snack or two—and the kind of live music that makes your whole soul tune in. Our house concerts bring gifted musicians and curious ears together for intimate evenings full of connection, creativity, and the occasional scramble to squeeze in just one more chair.

Marching Band

Not your average parade crew. Our merry band of joyful noisemakers brings rhythm, horns, and a splash of whimsy to special events all over town. With a playful mix of colors, costumes, and contagious energy, we’re equal parts parade and party—no auditions, no pressure, just pure, unfiltered musical mischief.

Open Mic

Show off your talents or simply enjoy an evening of local music! Our open mic nights welcome singers, instrumentalists, poets, and performers of all kinds. Whether you're stepping on stage for the first time or you're a seasoned performer, this is your chance to share your art in a supportive atmosphere. Singers are also welcome to be accompanied by the Collective’s very own house band—the Small Frogs of Gretna!

Community Musicians Showcase

A mic, a spotlight, and a crowd that cheers for everyone. Whether you sing, strum, recite poetry, tell stories, or have a kazoo solo you’ve been dying to debut, our open mics are your moment. Come take the stage—or just groove along from your seat.

Singalongs

No need to be a professional—just bring your enthusiasm! Our singalongs are about shared musical moments, where voices join together in a fun, informal setting. Whether you love classic folk tunes, seasonal favorites, or campfire songs, you’ll find a place to raise your voice.

Community Chorus

We’re exploring the idea of a Community Chorus and inviting interest from anyone who loves to sing—or is curious about singing in a group. This would be a welcoming, low-pressure choral experience focused on connection, community, and the joy of lifting our voices together.

No auditions. No required experience. Just a shared willingness to show up, warm up, and sing. Repertoire would be chosen with accessibility and enjoyment in mind and may include folk, contemporary, seasonal, or well-loved choral pieces.
